2025 Rewind⏪

Rapids Water Polo had a stellar year! Let's take a moment to reminisce on some our favorite moments and successes of 2025:

🥉 Our 12U team took home SwimRVA's first medal at the Junior Olympics, placing third in the Gold Division.
🌟 For the second year in a row, James was invited to join the USAWP Youth National Team!
💪 Genevieve and Mick were invited to join the NorthEast Zone team to participate in a regional tournament through USAWP!
🧠 Bradley received Academic All American Honors for maintaining a 3.5 GPA or higher while also participating in a USAWP Sanctioned National Event.
🛫 The 12U team traveled to the Beast of the East Tournament at the National Training Center in Clermont, FL to compete against some higher level competition - a first for the 12U group!
🤽 The SwimRVA Water Polo Community League had a record number of participants in its second year of competition! Speaking of...

Don't miss the COMMUNITY LEAGUE CHAMPIONSHIP this Sunday, January 11th at 12:30! Second and third seeded teams 'Sharks or Orcas' and '6 7' will look to take down the undefeated #1 seed 'Team Stanford' led by Coach Roxanne! The 16U Rapids team will also be scrimmaging the Tidewater Titans in between the 12:30 game and championship.

𝙒𝙖𝙩𝙚𝙧 𝙋𝙤𝙡𝙤 𝙎𝙯𝙣

Head Coach Jacob and Assistant Coach Roxanne have the Rapids up and running for this fall's water polo season! The grind continues after the team had their second Community League of the season and an 18U matchup against the Tidewater Titans last weekend. We love to see all the players of different age groups working together to progress! 💪

Rookie of the Year 🏆

Huge congrats to Roxanne for being named VCU Club Sports’ Rookie of the Year this past weekend! Her impact on the women's club rugby team has been incredible and we can’t wait to see what she does next!
