The Friends of Camp Chesterfield Foundation (FCCF) was formed to assist the Camp board with raising funds and in applying for grants as a non-profit that are normally not available to a religious-based organization or church. The mission of the FCCF is solely to preserve and restore the aging, historically, architecturally and culturally significant structures, landscapes and archives of Historic Camp Chesterfield, through historic preservation and to educate the public about the importance of Camp Chesterfield as an historical and cultural asset unique to the State of Indiana and even in a broader sense to that of the United States. Historic Camp Chesterfield is one of the most important, oldest, and still-operating Spiritualist communities in the United States. Current preservation achievements and/or efforts underway by the Friends of Camp Chesterfield Foundation include the process of historical designation; the efforts to document its history through the archival digitization of historical documents and photographs, oral history testimonials, and written and technical documentation; and the physical preservation of its structures and cultural landscapes through the stabilization, rehabilitation, restoration, and reconstruction of essential resources. Through the preservation of historical structures and landscapes, future generations are provided an opportunity to learn about the heritage of this landmark and the people who built it. Diversity & Inclusion:
The Friends of Camp Chesterfield Foundation strives to include diversity, equity, and inclusion practices at the center of our daily work. We commit to using these practices for our business and our communities. Join us please in embracing diversity, equity and inclusion for every person in every community.
