Sunday November 19th was the annual “Spirit of Hope Award“ wreath presentation at Arlington, Va. near Washington, DC. A special Thank You to AMVETS post 106, St. Peters, Missouri for sponsoring the wreath with the Wiegand Foundation this year. The Wiegand Foundation is grateful and proud that both AMVETS and The AMERICAN LEGION worked together for the 2017 presentation. Thank you gentlemen for your continued serve to this great country.

A Chesterfield, MO contingent from The Wiegand Foundation, Inc. for the 10th consecutive year, laid a wreath at the Tomb of the Unknown Soldier, Arlington Cemetery on November 20th. Art Seltzer, board member was joined by Chip Biele, former Chief of the Monarch Fire Protection District, Betty Bax Pratt and Dolores Biele Coleman. This wreath bears the name The Spirit of Hope Award after the medal created by Don Wiegand for the foundation to recognize extraordinary contributions of individuals to the armed services in the spirit of Bob Hope as well as the fallen men and women.
