‼️PATCH Virginia Urgent Need ❤️🎄‼️

PATCH Virginia is urgently seeking a donated metal shipping container or enclosed trailer to store donations for our annual Christmas program. We are a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and can provide a tax-deductible donation receipt for all eligible donations.

As our program continues to grow, we are in desperate need of secure storage space for toys, clothing, hygiene items, and other donated gifts that help local children and families during the Christmas season.

If you or your business have a shipping container, enclosed trailer, or know someone who might be willing to donate one, we would be incredibly grateful. We also welcome financial contributions toward a storage fund to help us purchase or secure a long-term storage solution for our nonprofit.

Every donation—whether it’s equipment, funding, or simply sharing this post—helps us continue bringing hope, joy, and Christmas magic to families in our community.

New Local Initiative Launches to Provide Free Formal Dresses to Girls in Need

A new community project, Karma’s Kloset, has officially launched in the Mechanicsville/Hanover area with one simple mission: to ensure every girl has the opportunity to feel confident and beautiful at her special events regardless of financial circumstances.

Founded by a local mother and daughter, Karma’s Kloset is currently collecting clean, gently used prom, homecoming, and formal dresses in all sizes. The dresses will be provided completely FREE to local girls in need.

“Every girl deserves her moment,” the founders share. “We want to remove the financial barrier that sometimes keeps girls from fully enjoying these milestone events.”

The organization is currently offering local pick-up for donations. They are also seeking partnerships with local businesses willing to serve as drop-off locations.

Community members who would like to donate dresses or connect about becoming a drop-off site are encouraged to reach out for more information.

Let’s come together to make sure no local girl misses her special night.

The Henrico County Police Division is seeking the public’s help in locating a missing adult.

On Monday, Dec. 29, 2025, at approximately 5:53 p.m., Henrico Police responded to the Henrico County Public Safety Building for the report of a missing person. Mr. Jeffery Norman Wilson, 48, has not been seen since Dec. 27 as he was leaving a hotel in the area of 10060 W Broad Street and has not been heard from since. The family has concerns for his wellbeing. He is described as a white male, 6’0”, 220lbs brown hair and hazel eyes. He is known to frequent the area of 10060 W Broad Street.

Anyone that may know his whereabout is asked to contact Henrico Police at 804-501-5000.

We want to send a huge THANK YOU to The Diner @ Cross Pointe for their generous support and for being such a wonderful, family owned gem in our community.

From the moment we walked in, it truly felt like home. The food was fresh and absolutely delicious, the tea was amazing, and having breakfast served all day is always a win 🙌

What really stood out was how kid friendly they are. The kids area and arcade were such a hit. My daughter had so much fun she didn’t want to leave. Because she was happily playing, I was able to enjoy some much needed mom time with a friend, which meant the world to me.

It’s places like this that make a difference not just through generosity but by creating a space where families can relax, connect, and feel welcome.
