Please join Chesterfield IAFF Shop 26 in congratulating Dave Raymond on his well-earned promotion from Lieutenant to Captain.

Dave began his fire service career in 2001 as a volunteer with our neighboring community in Springfield, NJ. He has been a dedicated member of our Chesterfield Twp. Fire Dept. since 2010 and was officially hired in 2012. For the past 13 years, Dave has proudly served as our career Lieutenant, demonstrating strong leadership, commitment, and professionalism.

In his new role as Captain, Dave will play a vital part in meeting the growing demands of our Fire District. He will oversee daily operations and help strengthen coordination across all three shifts, ensuring continued excellence in service to our community.

Congratulations, Captain Raymond, and thank you for continued dedication and service.

Chesterfield IAFF Shop 26 would like to welcome Firefighter Jacob Paternoster. FF Paternoster is a local graduate of NBCRHS and member with Juliustown Vol. Fire Company in Springfield Twp. Jacob has completed a month of initial department training and placed on shift. FF Paternoster was hired to fill a vacancy created back in January.

Between calls Firefighters will be out the next several days ensuring hydrants are clear of snow . This saves us critical moments in the event of an emergency when the hydrant is needed.

Please use caution if driving in the area.

Staff has taken the past couple days to prepare for the storm. Now the Trucks are fueled and plow is ready! Crews will be on hand staffing both the fire truck and utility for all Fire and EMS calls.

During snow storms we shift gears a little and will often be outside shoveling the walks for the ems crew and stretcher then plowing the street in front of the fire truck or ambulance.

Please do your part to make everyone’s job easier by staying home and off the roads.

The fire district’s referendum would be asking for an increase of 252 dollars a YEAR, 68 cents a DAY on a $400,000 assessed home. Thats less than a Wawa 24oz coffee.

Remember that’s Assessed, (the amount you pay tax on) not appraised (the value if you were to sell your home).

We understand our referendum comes at a time where we all are feeling the financial burdens. The fire district does not take this lightly and have for years, tried to keep the cost down, unfortunately we are at a point due to rising cost that to operate effectively we are asking for your support.
