🏡 Make an Impact: Housing Rehabilitation Coordinator
Location: Chester, South Carolina | Full-Time | Community Impact Focused

A mission-driven organization in Chester, SC is looking for a Housing Rehabilitation Coordinator to lead meaningful home improvement projects under the HUD Older Adult Home Modification Program (OAHMP). 🌟 What You’ll Do:
As the Housing Rehabilitation Coordinator, you’ll serve as the go-to liaison between homeowners, contractors, and the internal team. Your role ensures that essential home modifications and repairs are delivered with compassion, efficiency, and in full compliance with HUD guidelines.
Key Responsibilities:
* Conduct client intake and eligibility assessments with care and professionalism
* Schedule and oversee contractors to ensure timely, high-quality rehabilitation projects
* Communicate with homeowners to walk them through every step of the process
* Serve as the main point of contact for contractors, troubleshooting issues as they arise
* Maintain thorough records and compliance documentation to support program success
*Coordinate inspections and verify satisfactory completion before processing final payments
✅ What You Bring:
* Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Social Services, or a related field (preferred)
* 2+ years’ experience in housing, social services, or construction project coordination
* Working knowledge of HUD regulations and home modification programs (a plus)
* Strong communication, organizational, and multitasking abilities
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and basic project management tools
* Ability to engage compassionately with clients and work collaboratively with contractors
🛠 Physical & Work Environment:
* Comfortable conducting on-site visits (indoor and outdoor environments)
* Regular standing, walking, bending, lifting up to 25 lbs
* Occasional exposure to construction-related conditions and noise
⏰ Work Schedule:
* Full-time, Monday–Friday (standard business hours)
* Occasional schedule flexibility to meet project milestones
