🍻 Sip & Shop for a cause at Montgomery and Taggert Bookshop during Chester First Fridays 2026 in March! Enjoy an evening of extra shopping hours and a complimentary beverage while you browse books and gifts. This month's event will feature a special selection of beer and wine curated and sponsored by Little House Brewing Company. 10% of all bookshop sales on Friday, 3/6/26 will be donated to Pink Boots Society: Connecticut Chapter.

💟 The Pink Boots Society is a non-profit organization that provides educational opportunities to women and non-binary individuals in the fermented beverage industry. The CT Chapter of PBS focuses on member education through sensory training, guest lectures, and trainings within specific fields and the industry at large. CT Pink Boots has partnered with Sacred Heart University and Back East Brewing (Bloomfield) to fund a scholarship for the Brewing Science Program.

🍺 Little House Brewing Company, located at 16 Main Street in Chester, CT, is a neighborhood taproom that offers a wide variety of beers, beverages, and events. A certified member of the Independent Craft Brewer's Association, Little House proudly brews all of their beers on-site.

🏘 Enjoy extra hours for dining, shopping, and live music throughout Chester Village every First Friday of the month from 5pm-8pm.

📚 Montgomery and Taggert Bookshop, Connecticut’s first romance-themed bookstore, is located at 26 Water Street, Chester.

The CT Chapter of the Pink Boots Society is proud to present our educational event in collaboration with Em Sauter of Pints and Panels and Myrcene Ale Co.

Join us on Tuesday March 3rd for a lecture focused on the History of Women in Beer. From thousands of years ago to today, women have shaped the way beer is enjoyed and celebrated. Learn about ancient and medieval brewing practices and how women were (and still are) the queens of beer!

Presentations will be 60-90 minutes long. Q&A will take place after the presentation and Em will be available for further discussion afterwards. Pints and Panels merchandise may be available for purchase.

Pink Boots members should register on the Pink Boots Website. This event is free for members to attend and is included as part of the chapter’s yearly educational requirement.

This event is open to the public. There is a $10 ticket fee for non-members that benefits the CT Chapter of the Pink Boots Society.

PBS provides educational opportunities to women and non-binary individuals in the fermented beverage industry. Part of the proceeds generated from this event and others that the CT Chapter hosts across the state will help provide a scholarship to one individual through Sacred Heart University’s Brew School.

Beverages will be available for purchase. Including a selection of craft beer and non-alcoholic options.
