Chester Summer Music Series Chester Summer Music Series is 100% Community funded and sponsored by Springfield Rotary. Concerts are presented from mid-July to mid-August with 5 shows.

Performances are held on the Academy Lawn, opposite the Green in Chester VT, from 6:30-8:00 P.M. The Chester Summer Music Series is pleased to announce 5 concert schedule for this year. We will have shows on July 14, 21, 28 and August 4 and 11. Shows are on the Academy Lawn from 6:30- 8 P.M. on those Thursdays. The American Legion Post # 67 is our rain venue again this summer. We rely on contribut

ions from the community to fund these shows Any donations towards helping us present this series would be greatly appreciated. We also need some help from the community to assist us with the running of these shows. 2-3 volunteers to work the nights of the shows would go a long way in that regard. We are also looking for two people to play vital roles. Someone with skills in social media, and another to help with the organization of fundraising. This Thursday we get Old Timey with the fabulous fiddler Dana Robinson (Old Time on the Onion) with Tom McKenzie on banjo, Susan Robinson on guitar & vocals and Neal McNaughton on bass.
The band's repertoire draws heavily from the deep well of old-time fiddle tunes, traditional North American songs, and the North Carolina Round Peak tradition.
