Destiny Kids Free Camp

Destiny Kids Free Camp Put on by a collaboration of churches and businesses we aim to bring children from all walks of life together for a free weeklong summer camp experience.

Petersburg Free Camp is designed to give a camping experience to children in the tri-city areas of all social and economic backgrounds free of charge. We intend to allow every child an exciting experience with bible lessons, games, field trips, crafts, and so much more! But even more important is that we set up an environment for each child to have a true encounter with God. We will be serving ab

We had given out flyers during camp for an free event for kids another group was doing at the same campground tomorrow (August2nd). That event has been cancelled. Please pass the word along as we dont want anyone driving a distance to show up and nothing going on. Thank you

Its one of my favorite activities that we do at camp. Just a simple class about prayer but it gives so much insight into the lives of our children. Kids are so complex and funny….from prayers for a puppy to the prayer in little kids handwriting that says “help me to not be sad.” The prayers they write out to God are so honest and raw. We think our kids dont know whats really going on, we think the hard things of the world are hidden well from them. But some of them just have emotions and feelings hidden well and their prayers give us a little more of an idea of what we are dealing with. Thank goodness for the message this afternoon about casting all those things that you carry that are heavy onto Jesus.

Hey all! Several have asked if we have family’s needing sponsored for Christmas this year. We do have three family’s whose children attend Destiny Kids Free Camp that we are sponsoring. One family has been taken care of, so two left. I am attaching a wishlist for those interested in purchasing a gift or if you want to get clothes can message me for sizes. Between the two families left there is six kids. Five girls between the ages of 5 and 11 and one 5 year old boy.
