It may still be summer, but we are already thinking about Thanksgiving! 🦃 For over 35 years, the Thanksgiving Program through CCHASM has been a beacon of hope for local families. This year, the Chesterfield Food Bank Outreach Center is proud to carry on this tradition with Operation Holiday Hundred!

With the cost of living on the rise, we need your help to ensure no family faces an empty table. You can help by donating a nonperishable Thanksgiving meal bag, a $20 grocery gift card, or making a monetary gift.

CFBOC will be closed Monday, September 7 in observance of Labor Day.

We aim to offer more than just food to individuals and families facing food insecurity. We work to empower them to address the root causes of hunger through program services and connections to community resources. Each month, we provide approximately 151 senior citizens with nutritious food. This would not be possible without the dedicated volunteers who selflessly give their time, as they are the backbone of our organization. We are truly grateful for their time.

Over the weekend we had the opportunity to team up with our outreach partner Awaken Church RVA by providing water & hotdogs 🌭 for their Back to School Field Day Outreach! We were also ON-SITE connecting with neighbors and sharing about our food distributions that take place throughout the month.

We say almost 700 people come through, and 350 backpacks full of supplies handed out. Not only that, but a lot of fun activities for all the kiddos who came out!

They had Freckles & Friends Animal Sanctuary there with their petting zoo, which was a hit!

It was great setting up next to A Place Of Miracles Clothes Cottage - we love the work they're doing in our community!

Working together with great partners like these allows us to connect more deeply, serve more effectively, and build stronger community!
