💙🧡 Spreading Smiles with SunButter! 🧡💙

A special shout-out to PTO Today and SunButter Sunflower Butter for helping make our schools Open House extra special! 🎉

We were thrilled to share SunButter samples with our families and staff, giving everyone an opportunity to try something new! Having the choice between original and chocolate SunButter made the experience even sweeter and gave everyone a chance to pick their favorite! 🌻🍫

At CUFSD SEPTSA, we love discovering ways to make our events welcoming, inclusive, and enjoyable for everyone. Opportunities like this help us introduce families to new products while creating connections and memorable moments within our school community.

Open House was the perfect opportunity to share something tasty with our school community! 🎉 We’re grateful to PTO Today and That's it. for providing fiber bar samples for our families and staff to enjoy.

From meeting new families to connecting with familiar faces, our Open House was all about building relationships and creating a welcoming space for everyone. Having these samples available was a fun bonus and another way to bring a little something extra to the event! 🧡

💙🧡 A BIG Thank You to PTO Today! 🧡💙

Thank you to PTO Today, in partnership with Children's Dimetapp, for providing these amazing nasal strips for us to share with our families and staff during the elementary schools Open House!

We loved having the opportunity to distribute these goodies and bring extra smiles to our school community! 🎉 With cold season right around the corner, the samples were a fun and timely surprise!

Everyone enjoyed the samples, and the kids especially got a kick out of the Children’s Dimetapp nasal strips! 😄

We are so grateful to PTO Today and Children’s Dimetapp for making this opportunity possible and helping us make our Open House even more special! 💙🧡

A New Era for Learning Disabilities, Dyslexia & Dysgraphia in New York

Presented by Mid-Hudson Valley Special Education Task Force.

Join us for a virtual informative workshop on Learning Disabilities in New York: What’s Changing—and What Comes Next...

Learning Objectives:

• Understanding the upcoming Center for Dyslexia and Dysgraphia,
• What may change for schools and families,
• And lessons from other states.

Come with Questions! We will stay on for an extra 30 minutes to respond to as many as we can.

CUFSD Families!!!

🧡💙 We’re excited to be attending this great CUFSD family event next week!

“It Takes a Village: Connecting Families to CUFSD Resources” is a wonderful opportunity for families to learn more about the people, groups, and resources available within our school community.

Representatives from PTA, PTSA, and SEPTSA will be there, along with stations to help families with ParentSquare, ParentVUE, and Bound. There will also be time to ask questions, make connections, and of course…enjoy some treats! 😊

CUFSD SEPTSA bridges the gap between families and schools to ensure every student in Chester gets the support, resources, and inclusion they deserve. From providing calm rooms at school dances and supporting our Special Olympic athletes to hosting community seminars, we are dedicated to helping our kids thrive!

💙 A Resource Worth Knowing About: The Jed Foundation

As parents, educators, and members of our community, supporting the mental health and emotional well-being of our children is so important.

I recently came across The Jed Foundation (JED), a nonprofit focused on protecting the emotional health of teens and young adults and preventing su***de.

Their website has a wealth of resources for parents, students, educators, and schools—including information about anxiety, stress, loneliness, relationships, self-injury, depression, coping skills, helping a friend, and knowing when and how to seek support.

JED also works with schools and districts to help create cultures of care where students feel seen, supported, and connected.

If you have a middle or high school student, this is definitely a resource worth exploring. Sometimes having the right information before a difficult moment can make all the difference. 💙

💛 September is Su***de Prevention Awareness Month.

This one is personal. As parents, caregivers, friends, teachers, and family, we never truly know what someone may be carrying inside.

Please check in. Ask the question. Listen. Be there. Sometimes a simple “I’m here if you need me” can mean more than we realize.

Let’s remind our kids, our loved ones, and each other that they matter, they are loved, and they don't have to face things alone. 💛
