3️⃣ The Caregiver Face: Holding Others’ Trauma
You show up. You pour out. You hold space.
But who holds you?
At Catapult Outreach, we honor the caregivers—the ones who sit beside crisis, listen to trauma, and keep giving… even when their own soul is running on empty.
🧍♀️🧍♂️ Who?
Pastors. Counselors. Parents. Teachers. Case managers. Ministry leaders.
People who are always there for others, yet carry invisible wounds of secondary trauma.
🔻 Types of Trauma:
Exposure to others’ trauma stories, grief, or abuse disclosures
Compassion fatigue and emotional exhaustion
Ministry burnout masked as "servant leadership"
📉 Trauma Level:
Often secondary or vicarious, but cumulative—and just as real.
🛠️ What’s Needed?
Regular check-ins with self and others
Boundaries that protect mission and mental health
Supervision, rest, and spiritual replenishment
📖 “Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you fulfill the law of Christ.” (Galatians 6:2, NIV)
💬 You’re not failing. You’re just full. Let us hold space for you too.
