SALT Performing Arts (SPA), a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization, is committed to providing live community theatre throughout the entire year, enriching workshops, dinner theatre, professional performance opportunities for people from all walks of life, summer camp programming, and community outreach. With excellence as the standard, SPA believes that the “community” is paramount in community theater and strives to foster an all-inclusive atmosphere that promotes a positive and uplifting experience for everyone.

Billion (Orphan & Fagin's Gang) is thrilled to make his debut with SALT in Oliver!. His previous theater credits include Frozen (StageLight), Legally Blonde (Northley Middle School), The Little Mermaid, and Annie (Calabrese Arts). 🥣Actor profile: CANDACE DEEDE 🥣
Candace (Bet) is thrilled to be back on the SALT stage! Candace previously appeared in SALT's productions of Into the Woods (Witch U/S), Beauty and the Beast (Enchantress/Ensemble/Babette U/S) and The 25th Annual Putnam County Spelling Bee (Olive's Mom/Ensemble). Most recently, Candace served as the Stage Manager for SALT's production of Carousel. Candace is a proud mom to her own little gang of thieves, and is incredibly thankful for her husband Rich who keeps them out of trouble while she is at rehearsal. I'd do anything, anything for you!

🥣Actor profile: GAVIN VERMEULEN 🥣
Gavin (Noah Claypole) is honored to be back on the SALT stage with the cast of Oliver. Since performing in his first musical in March, Gavin has jumped headfirst into the theater world, with credits including SALT's Carousel (Enoch Snow Jr.), Legally Blonde (Kyle), Beetlejuice (Adam), and High School Musical (Chad). He would like to thank everyone at SALT for being so welcoming, his vocal coach Monica Pica for guiding and teaching him through his first year, and his family for supporting his interest in theater!

🥣Crew profile: SHANNON MURRAY🥣
Shannon (Assistant Stage Manager) is pleased to help present the story of Oliver! to our community, and excited to jump into the fast-paced backstage role of ASM for the first time since Big Fish 2023. She has previously served as the lead Stage Manager for several productions at SALT, including the magical, high-tech The Wizard of Oz and Mary Poppins, and most recently the stunt spectacular, Tarzan. In addition to stage management, Shannon works as a director and choreographer, working last year as the assistant choreographer for SALT’s Into the Woods and director/choreographer for Cinderella… If the Shoe Fits! at Lionville Elementary School, where she is also the school librarian. Shannon additionally enjoys performing on stage with SALT, most recently taking the stage in The SpongeBob Musical (Pearl). She would like to thank her teammates MK and Drew for their humor and teamwork throughout this process, and hopes that audiences enjoy the emotional journey of our show.
