Kennel license: 16105 - Founded in Sept '15, NARPS is a foster-based rescue in PA. We may be a small organization, but we sure do have some big plans!

Our rescue is currently working as a foster based program which we hope will steadily grow. For the time being, we are limited in the amount of rescues we can take in due to this fact. Besides rescuing and rehoming pets in need, NARPS plan on developing community outreach programs to help with many animal welfare issues and to help educate the public. Some of these programs which we hope to implement are low cost spay and neuter clinics (possibly even mobile clinics), low cost vaccine clinics, and educational seminars with interesting and knowledgeable guest speakers! While dogs are our most common rescues, we do quite a bit of work with horses and pigs too...and of course all of the other domesticated animals as well! NARPS also has a soft spot for senior pets and handicapped pets. We just love them all! Our motto...Big and Small, Hooves and Paws, We Save Them ALL! Where are our manners?
We’ve been so busy we forgot to introduce everyone to this precious little man.

Meet Nevi. This adorable little dude found himself on the time stamp list at ACCT Philly. This adorable little boy came in severely matted , extremely thin, and needing surgical repair of an untreated hernia.

What we know so far is this little boy is loving life outside of the shelter. He enjoys cuddling with his Foster mom and dad and playing with all of his toys.

The sweet little boy certainly enjoys modeling his new wardrobe that his wonderful foster mama got for him.

He needs to be neutered and have a rather large hernia repair then he’ll be ready for his new home

‼️‼️ Update: The backyard greeder has changed his mind on surrendering the puppies and is now planning on selling them for profit. Sorry! 😞 ‼️‼️

🐶🐶 LGD PUPPY FOSTERS/FTA NEEDED 🐶🐶

We were asked by another wonderful local rescue (Pinelands Unleashed Rescue) if we could help out by splitting a litter of Great Pyrenees/Anatolian Shepherds with them… there are ten puppies total, so we would be in need of fosters or foster to adopt homes for FIVE puppies. They are currently 10 weeks old. The other rescue already handled getting both mom and dad spayed and neutered— fabulous work!! We do not know what gender puppies we would have available, nor do we have individual pictures of each puppy as of yet.

‼️ THESE ARE LIVESTOCK GUARDIAN DOGS through and through!! These puppies will NOT be placed in apartments, cookie cutter developments, or homes without suitable set up for a working dog. LGD’s need land and space to patrol and have a job to truly thrive. We will not compromise their wellbeing and mental health to appease people who think they need a LGD without the appropriate home for one. We will be picky as to where they go and strongly prefer homes that have experience with true LGD breeds.

We are open to foster homes or homes that ultimately want to adopt… but we would require they be fostered first, prior to finalizing the adoption. We never do outright adoptions right off of transport for a multitude of reasons. As always, we prefer puppies go to homes with other dogs as it’s so crucial to their socialization. We do NOT adopt puppies out together as littermate syndrome is a real thing.

She is a mixed breed girl weighing about 70 pounds, who was surrendered by her owner due to housing issues. She is patiently waiting to find a new family to love.

This happy little hippopotamus is STILL waiting and we are dumbfounded! This girl is the happiest creature we’ve ever met! She deserves a family where she can share all her joy!

🍎HER ADOPTION FEE HAS BEEN GENEROUSLY SPONSORED🍎

✨🍎ADOPT APPLE🍎✨

Apple is a precious six-year-old staffy mix who is looking for her forever home.

Cats are unknown and kids over 6 would be best for this house hippo.

This adorable girl was found wandering all by herself in Kensington and a good Samaritan brought her into the open intake shelter in Philadelphia

Apple found herself on the timestamp list due to some questionable lesions on her back legs and around her tail which needed further evaluation and testing that the shelter was not able to perform. Biopsy results show totally benign growths, quite possibly the result of pressure sores from being confined in a small crate.

What we know about this darling girl is her favorite thing in life is to smother you with wet, sloppy kisses, we mean smother you in wet sloppy kisses. She does not enjoy getting wet so bath time can be a bit of a wrestling match nor does she enjoy going out in the rain, we mean, after all, this beautiful girl should not be subjected to getting rained upon.

Apple is spayed( no more baby making machine for her), utd on vaccines, and chipped.

Apple is house trained( with a few accidents here and there) crate trained, does well on leash. She enjoys the company of the female pup in her foster home, but, is not fully in love with the male resident dog. Perhaps, he is not her type!

Apple recently participated in a fashion show where she rocked the runway and ruled the audience with her adorable personality.

Apple is just about 50 pounds, so a perfect fit for any home.

We think, after all she has been through that, she deserves her happy ever after with a family who will love her as she deserves to be loved.

This most perfect girl checks every single box and has been waiting to find her forever home since December! She deserves her chance to show a family just how wonderful she is!

💗🌞ADOPT JACKIE🌞💗

We sure hope you remember this most precious girl whose original name was candied yam. Jackie found herself in the open intake shelter in Philadelphia with a very significant facial wound. Her entire bottom mandible was to degloved. There was no explanation for how this injury occurred. There were no other wounds on her body. It was just a mystery.

Jackie went through three “facelifts” to repair her degloved face which were mostly successful. Unfortunately, her bottom lip cannot be reattached as there was no tissue to attach it to inside of her mouth so she has a permanent pucker which we all find quite endearing.

Jackie spent several months in a cone and a soft muzzle and tolerated that beautifully and showed us just what a good girl she really is.

She is flourishing in foster and is now ready for her happily ever after.

Jackie is a lovely red pit mix roughly 6 years old about 55 pounds and is the best snuggler on the planet!

She walks well on leash, she is PERFECTLY crate trained, house trained, spayed, micro chipped, up-to-date on her vaccines and is simply the silliest goofiest girl.

Jackie adores all humans, especially kiddos. She is so gentle with little humans and wants all the pets and belly scratches she can get from her people.

Jackie is dog friendly and is kicking butt in her training sessions working on her manners. She just earned herself a Canine Good Citizen Award. We are so proud of her and can’t wait for her to find a family where she can show how wonderful she truly is!

This girl is truly special and the most deserving and so tolerant of all that she’s been through. It’s her time to shine.

‼️💔❤️‍🩹 URGENT: FOSTER NEEDED ❤️‍🩹💔‼️

One of our southern contacts made a desperate plea to us for help with this absolutely tragic girl!! This 6yr old female Dane was dumped at a vet office for euthanasia after living chained outside all summer in the brutal Georgia heat. Upon arriving at the vet, she was found to be emaciated— only 89lbs— with a fever of 105* and some of the most severely infected ears we have ever seen. Can you even imagine the pain and discomfort this poor dog has been experiencing?!? It’s nauseating!!! She is said to be dog and cat friendly, but aside from that, we know nothing about this precious girl. Not even her name.

She is currently at a vet clinic in GA and has a very temporary foster who can help with her down there until we can find a foster here in PA and arrange transport for her.

She will need slow refeeding, lots of care for her ears, and plenty of time for decompression and rehabilitation. We have to assume she has not been spayed, but that would be done at a later time after she is fully healthy again.

To foster, you must be within a 2hr radius of Philly and willing and able to take her to one of our vet partners (we have countless vets we work with all over the tristate area). You would have to be able to separate and allow for decompression. How she is with children is completely unknown, but we can only imagine she would be protective/reactive over her sore ears… so a home with no small children who could accidentally grab them or bump them.
