Cheshire High School Marching Ram Band A fan page to share photos and what not pertaining to Cheshire High School's competitive Marching Ram Band Each performance is a big deal. The show must go on.

Marching Band, A True Team Sport

Students spend hours upon hours working to perfect a show for a performance that will only last 10 - 20 minutes. If someone has a bad 20 seconds, it wreaks havoc on the entire band. If someone is confused, or not quite sure of the next move, there is no opportunity to call a time out to get clarification. The band gets but a brief moment to showcase what they spen

t hundred of hours working on. They don't get 4 quarters, 2 halves, or 8 innings - just a few minutes. If someone isn't feeling well, twists their ankle, or gets knocked on their rear, they can't call a time-out and ask for a sub. After the performance is over, not one performer will have their name in the paper, or get special recognition for their outstanding individual performance. Band is a team activity and not one person is recognized publicly for their outstanding performance that week. Everyone works hard, day in day out, for the team the group, knowing that they will not be singled out for special recognition. All the work is done for the good of the group and this is extremely awesome (author unknown).

Hi friends!!
We sure do miss you all! We keep saying “we have to get together”. So….. let’s do it!
Sunday October 19 from 1-4 pm I have the back 1/2 of The Witchdoctor in Southington available for us to use. I need your help in letting our band parent friends know!
If friends can bring an appetizer or dessert to share there won’t be any real costs to cover. Also, any non bakers willing to bring a 12 packs or cases of soda, diet soda and water then they won’t charge us for it at the bar.
Pay your way for drinks and you can order food there as well. An afternoon with some of the best people around( band parents) sounds wonderful to me! What do you think?
All band parents from all the past years are welcome! Cliff and I became band parents in 2008 with the field show C2 Code and made life long friends in the 6 years we were band parents.

So I finally got around to putting the photos I have on a website
