We are heartbroken to share the news of Jimmy Jackson’s passing.

Jimmy was well known and respected in the real estate community for many years, but to us, he was a dedicated advocate and a valued member of the Chesapeake Task Force on Aging. When he joined us, he immediately stepped into a leadership role, co-chairing our legislative committee and helping move important work forward.

He never hesitated to show up, step in, and help—whether it was for the work at hand or for a friend in need.

Jimmy will be deeply missed. 💔

What an educational and inspiring February meeting for the Chesapeake Task Force on Aging! We were thrilled to welcome many new faces and are grateful to everyone who joined us.

A heartfelt thank you to Laura E Halcomb, with A Movable Solution for the cutest Valentine’s breakfast—it was the perfect way to start our morning! 🥐❤️

As always, we are thankful to the Chesapeake Regional’s Lifestyle Center for being such a gracious and welcoming host. Your continued support means so much to us.

We also extend our sincere thanks to Chesapeake’s Commissioner of the Revenue, Victoria Proffitt, for taking time out of her busy schedule to speak with us about important tax breaks and City programs available to support our senior population. We truly appreciate her dedication and advocacy for seniors in need.

Our next membership meeting will be Friday, March 6th. We hope to see you there!
