Today we celebrate the feast of Saint Augustine of Hippo (354–430), one of the greatest Doctors of the Church.

St. Augustine’s restless search for God speaks powerfully to every age, and his words still inspire us today: “Our hearts are restless until they rest in You, O Lord.”

Did you know that Pope Leo XIV is a member of the Order of Saint Augustine, an order inspired by St. Augustine’s life and writings that continues his mission of proclaiming the truth and leading hearts to Christ? He served as Prior General, the worldwide leader of the order, for 12 years, 2001-2013.

🙏 On this feast, we give thanks for St. Augustine’s witness and pray for the grace of ongoing conversion in our own lives.

St. Michael the Archangel, defend us in battle. Be our defense against the wickedness and snares of the Devil. May God rebuke him, we humbly pray, and do thou, O Prince of the heavenly hosts, by the power of God, thrust into hell Satan, and all the evil spirits, who prowl about the world seeking the ruin of souls.
