Hi FOL-ers! The sale is this Saturday, October 21st at the Central Library.
For those of you who can plan ahead, the holiday books will be out.
Start those craft projects!
The library has cut back on the number of books they're sending us, so if you need to more room on your shelves, or floor, or under your bed, we'll be happy to help. Just bring them with you to the sale, leave them on the loading dock at the Central Library, or at any library help desk.

Come find your next summer read, no matter the age or genre, at the Book Sale this Saturday, July 15, at the Central Library. 1000's of books are just waiting for new homes. Doors open at 9:30 a.m. for members, and you can join at the door. Sale ends at 1:00 p.m.

We are sad to report that the January Friends Used Book Sale (scheduled for this coming Saturday, January 15) has been cancelled due to changes in the Library's rules due to rising COVID-19 numbers. We hope to be able to resume Sales in February, so please plan to join us then (2/19). Until then, stay safe!

Your next great read could be just around the corner. In fact, it's likely waiting for you at the Friends Book Sale TOMORROW (Oct. 16). Central Library (298 Cedar Road) is the place. Members get in at 9:30 a.m. (join at the door and get free books all year) and non-members can shop at 10:30 a.m. The Sale ends at 1:00 p.m. when all the leftovers get packed up and shipped away. Books for all ages and interests, with no book over $2!!!!

There will be books of every sort, size, cost, and vintage. There will be freebies, too. And it's your chance to help support the great programs and services at the Chesapeake Public Library!! What more inspiration do you need?

Plan now to be there when the doors open at 9:30 a.m. - That's when Members get in, and you can join right at the door. Members also get extra, FREE books every month, so it's really like we're paying you to join!! The Sale closes at 1:00 p.m., so come early for best selection!!
