Unit 280 and the American Legion Auxiliary Department of Virginia had an amazing time at the National Convention in Louisville, KY. The unit had several photos shown on the big screen and our very own PO! Ellen Davis was chosen as the Salute to Service Members USCG representative.

All,

I am sure a lot of you have heard by now about Will and Kathy Wright's daughter Rianna. The funeral service details are enclosed. Please try to support their young granddaughter and support the 529 plan Will has created.

From talking to Will, they have plenty of food, dinners, etc. and all the other needs are currently covered. Please be patient and kind as they traverse the days and weeks ahead.

Twenty-five years ago, Americans witnessed one of the darkest days in our nation's history. Nearly 3,000 innocent lives were taken in coordinated terrorist attacks on New York, Washington, and Pennsylvania.

Yet amid tragedy, America also witnessed extraordinary courage. First responders rushed into danger. Service members answered the call to defend the nation. Ordinary citizens demonstrated remarkable strength, compassion, and resolve.

On the 25th anniversary of September 11, we remember those who were lost, honor those who served, and reflect on the lessons that continue to shape our nation.
