Great IFR XC to Chicago! Plane performed beautifully.

- radio/ADSB issues didn’t surface again. Likely a reception issue while crossing Shenandoah
- fall/winter flying PSA: got some carb icing yesterday at 9,000, you only need to run carb heat for about a minute to clear it out like the POH says.

After 55 years and 8000+ hours, the airframe is showing its age. We found cracks in the upper left inboard wing skin during the last annual inspection. We have noticed they are growing and increasing in number so we have decided to replace the panel. Not a small task by any means but necessary.
