DNOW Hampton Roads 2012
Disciple Now (DNOW) is an inspiring and amazing weekend event where area youth grades 6th -12th come together and share in the joy of worshiping their Savior, Jesus Christ. Let’s face it, it is not always easy being a Christian in today’s society, and teens face numerous pressures and temptations on a daily basis. DNOW weekend is chance for teens to reaffirm and support each other in their WALK with God. It is also a wonderful opportunity to introduce other teens to Jesus Christ and nurture new believers.
The youth are usually grouped together in smaller groups according to age and s*x, and these small groups stay at the homes of adults within the host congregation for an entire weekend. Fun loving and positive youth leaders from other areas are often brought in by the hosting church to teach Bible studies and facilitate small group sessions. The groups also participate in various missions projects in the Hampton Roads area like cleaning stalls at Equi-Kids or making food boxes for needy families at Union Missions. These same small groups join together for worship services, meals, and games at the host location. Worship services are very high energy and feature a live and contemporary worship band. It is an amazing sight to see so many youth on fire for Jesus and collectively worshiping his Holy name.
DNOW may only last for a weekend , but many leave having made lifelong friends and embracing Eternal Life through Jesus Christ.

Father and Son Retreat 2012
The Father and Son Retreat coordinated through South Norfolk Baptist Church is a rewarding weekend like no other. This yearly event is an opportunity for young men in the South Norfolk Community to fellowship with positive male role models from the Hampton Roads area in a relaxed and fun environment. At Triple R Ranch, fathers and sons, whether biological or adopted for the weekend, engage in various games, sports activities, and bible study sessions. The Father and Son retreat may only last a weekend, but the bonds formed can last a lifetime.
