During our June Chapter Meeting, we had the honor of celebrating sorors who achieved the remarkable milestones of 25 years (Silver) and 50 years (Golden) of membership in our beloved sorority. Their unwavering dedication, service, leadership, and commitment to Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. and the communities they serve have left a lasting legacy. We are grateful for their decades of commitment to our sisterhood and for the leadership, service, and example they continue to provide.

Last weekend, we hosted Physically & Financially Fit: Blueprints to Black Wealth, an impactful program led by our Economic Development Subcommittee that focused on financial wellness, wealth preservation, and legacy building.

A special thank you to Danica Royster for sharing valuable insights on life insurance, estate planning, and wealth-building strategies. From understanding how life insurance can serve as both a protection tool and investment vehicle to learning the importance of wills, trusts, beneficiaries, and long-term planning, attendees gained practical knowledge essential to protecting their assets and securing their futures.

The session served as a powerful reminder that building wealth is only part of the journey creating a plan to protect it and pass it on is just as important. Legacy is not simply what you leave behind, but how intentionally you prepare for those who come after you.

Our final chapter meeting of the sorority year was filled with sweet memories, sisterhood, and celebration.

Today, we took time to celebrate one another and honor the life and legacy of our beloved 15th Chapter President, Daphne Rena Kenon. Through laughter, reflection, and cherished memories, we were reminded of the lasting impact she made on our chapter and community.

A special thank you to our Membership Services Committee for creating such a thoughtful tribute with "Daphne's Delight," featuring ice cream flavors inspired by Soror Daphne herself. We also extend our sincere appreciation to Sundae Scoop for providing the delicious treats that made this sweet celebration even more special.

Sisterhood is sweet. ❤️🔺🍦

What a special weekend celebrating a truly remarkable milestone!

CVBAC was thrilled to join the Hampton Alumnae Chapter as they celebrated 75 years of Sisterhood, Scholarship, Service, and Social Action. As we reflected on their rich history, it was a powerful reminder of the lasting impact Delta women have made through advocacy, education, community service, and unwavering commitment to uplifting others.

We were proud to have Chapter President Vercalla Ingram-Smith, First Vice President Dwayla Booth, Virginia State Coordinator East Theresa Baker, 13th South Atlantic Regional Representative Ruth Jones Nichols, and several CVBAC Sorors in attendance for this unforgettable celebration.

Congratulations, Hampton Alumnae Chapter, on your Diamond Legacy Anniversary! Thank you for allowing us to be part of such a meaningful occasion. Here's to 75 years of impact, excellence, and service to the community.

Mental Health Thursday ❤️

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, this week’s discussion focuses on single motherhood and the strength, resilience, and challenges that often come with balancing so many roles at once. While single mothers pour endlessly into their families, it is equally important to prioritize rest, support, and mental wellness. As members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., we encourage compassion, community, and open conversations that uplift and empower mothers in every stage of their journey.

South Hampton Roads Pan Hellenic Council’s Annual Delta Night was nothing short of phenomenal as the chapter presidents and members of CVBAC, Norfolk Alumnae Chapter-DST, and Virginia Beach Alumnae Chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc. came together to paint the Omega House RED! 🔺

The room was filled with sisterhood, service, laughter, and purpose as mental health professionals from each chapter united to present a powerful and impactful message in honor of May being Mental Health Awareness Month.

The energy was unmatched, the connections were meaningful, and the evening was the perfect way to close out an incredible SHARPC 2025–2026 Program Year!

Mental Health Thursday

In recognition of Mental Health Awareness Month, this week’s discussion focuses on retirement and the emotional, mental, and lifestyle changes that can come with this new chapter of life. While retirement can bring rest and freedom, it can also bring stress, uncertainty, and adjustment. As members of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., we encourage open conversations about mental wellness at every stage of life and the importance of community, purpose, and self-care throughout the transition.

We extend our heartfelt gratitude to every chapter, soror, clergy member, family member, and friend who supported our chapter during the Omega Omega Service honoring our beloved 15th Chapter President, Daphne Rena Kenon.

The outpouring of love, prayers, presence, calls, messages, and support surrounding our chapter during this time has truly lifted and comforted us.
