We had a wonderful event at the Capitol on Tuesday for the National Religious Freedom Day, commemorating the Virginia Statute for Religious Freedom, written by Thomas Jefferson and enacted into law in 1786. Thank you Delegate Brenda Pogge, Chris Head, and Nick Freitas for your leadership and participation. Our great state has such a legacy of liberty, let us continue to fight and stand for religious freedom for all! Don't forget to pray for your legislators and the General Assembly while they are in session.

Take a few minutes today and every day to pray for our veterans and those who have served in our armed forces. They have paid a heavy price for protecting us and our sacred freedoms. They deserve our respect and our support. God bless our veterans!

Great time this Sunday at Smith Memorial Baptist Church in Williamsburg, Virginia. Congressman Rob Wittman, Del. Brenda Pogge and VPC State Director Ryan McAdams shared about the Prayer Caucus and called the church into prayer and action. God is mobilizing the Church and calling believers to arise in this hour. Start a Strategic Prayer Group in your church and pray one hour per week for your elected officials and government.

President Donald Trump has signed an executive order Thursday with the intention of easing restrictions imposed by the Johnson Amendment, the rule limiting political participation by tax-exempt religious groups.

"Faith is deeply embedded into the history of our country, the spirit of our founding and the soul of our nation," Trump told supporters gathered in the Rose Garden on Thursday. "We will not allow people of faith to be targeted, bullied or silenced anymore."
