Paint Your Heart Out! Chesapeake "Paint Your Heart Out" is a Service Project of the Chesapeake Rotary Club that makes minor repairs &

"Paint Your Heart Out" day involves the exterior painting and repairing of 10 - 20 homes in Chesapeake, Virginia. The effort includes donations of money and material from a variety of banks, businesses, and individuals, as well as hands on participation by church groups, clubs, military personnel and other civic and service organizations. The Chesapeake Rotary Club has painted and repaired more th

an 400 homes since 1991. To be eligible for the "Paint Your Heart Out" program, a homeowner(s) must

1) live in the home
2) be age 62 and older
3) have an annual income not exceeding $16,000 ($25,000 combined).

Help Us Help the Kids

Each year the Chesapeake Wine Festival donates over $100,000 to local charities. One of those charities we support is through our Rotary Club called Coats for Kids.

This is where we provide new coats for hundreds of local title one school students in need. We will miss the funds this year due to COVID-19 and would love to ask if you could help sponsor a Coat for a Kid for the Price of A Tasting Ticket to Our Wine Festival!

Today the Chesapeake Rotary Club mourns the passing of our cherished rotarian Faye Mitchell. She was a remarkable leader in our community and loyal friend to all. She truly exemplified in her life the rotary motto of "Service Above Self". Our heartfelt condolences to her family tonight. We are externally grateful that she was a part of our club, community and family of rotary.

Her wake will be held on Tuesday, May 30 from 6 – 8 p.m. at First Baptist Church, South Hill on Galberry Road in Chesapeake The funeral will be on Wednesday at 11 a.m. at the Church.

Thank you to all 535 volunteers who painted 15 homes throughout the City of Chesapeake yesterday! You make this City great!

CHESAPEAKE Hundreds of volunteers from across the region descended upon 15 houses in Chesapeake on Saturday, trimming shrubs, painting gutters, planting flowers and delighting homeowners who needed a hand with repairs and yard work.
