Food Drive with a twist for you!
Here’s how it works..
1) Bring a food donation either to our office or to any Chesapeake Fire Department Station by November 21st.
2) Take a photo as you drop off your donation.
3) Post your photo in the comments section of this post to be automatically entered in a drawing for a special prize from us, Great Bridge Dental!

The Buffalow Family/ Friends volunteer organization, endorsed by the Chesapeake Health Department, will distribute the food to needy individuals and families in our community! The Chesapeake Fire Department Explorers are hosting this event.

This past weekend the Fire Explorers started off their year 2 commitment by being active in the community. They wanted to be more involved in affairs around the city and they did just that. They assisted the Community Risk Reduction team, with setting up the fire life safety house. And passed out candy to the local community. Being just the start of their community service this year, expect to see them more making a difference.

Another milestone

Today Retired Fire Chief R Stephen Best Sr presented a check on behalf of the Beazley Foundation Inc. to Fire Chief Gulisano and Lt. LeVario Franklin. The very generous donation of $10,000 is designated for resources to expand the Chesapeake Fire Department Explorers. The Beazley Foundation has primarily focused on the needs of the community and young people, such as healthcare housing, education, and recreation. The Chesapeake Fire Department Explorer Program is a hands-on program for youth 14 - 17 years old with an interest in fire and emergency service careers. Thank you, Beazley Foundation, for supporting this valuable program!

We at the Chesapeake fire explorers would just like to thank Virginia Beach. They invited us to their Cadet Day. Our Chesapeake Fire Explorers had a great day. Thank you again, we hope to attend and be invited to the next one

A little late on this post, lol. I would like to thank Ladder 10, C-shift. And the St. J's training staff for allowing us to train. The Chesapeake Fire Department Explorers, learned to force doors, throw ladders, and primary search for victims inside of a residential structure. We plan on continuing to do more big training such as this in the future. At the end all of the Explorers had the courage to climb the ladder. Fun was had and everyone had a great day.
