On Wednesday, July 1, 2026, the Virginia Beach Princess Anne Oceanside Lions Club came together for our Food Project for the Horizons Hampton Roads Program. Since 1999, Horizons Hampton Roads has fostered the aspirations and potential of thousands of K-12 students in Virginia Beach, Norfolk, and Portsmouth through high-quality summer and year-round academic and enrichment programs. Horizons serves over 400 students across their 3 sites each summer, and operates a year-round high school program. These programs help ensure students are on target to graduate, prepared for college or other adult training, and looking forward to meaningful careers and fulfilling lives. We were happy to provide 140 food bags for the students in Virginia Beach as well as snacks for the teachers and staff. Overall, a truly inspiring day of community service and engagement!
