💡 Why Does This Matter?
Over the past several weeks, we've explored how smartphones, the internet, streaming, social media, AI, online shopping, digital banking, GPS, and modern healthcare all connect to a much larger digital ecosystem.
Data centers are an important part of that ecosystem. Along with fiber-optic networks, wireless towers, satellites, routers, and other communications infrastructure, they help store, process, and deliver many of the digital services we rely on every day.
Whether you're sending an email, navigating to a destination, streaming a movie, paying a bill, or connecting with family online, an incredible amount of technology is working behind the scenes to make it possible.
We hope our Could You Live Without It? series has helped make those connections a little clearer and provided a better understanding of the role data centers play in our increasingly connected world.
An informed community leads to better public conversations, and we appreciate you taking the time to learn more about this important topic.
