✨👧🏽 WHERE FRIENDSHIP GROWS! 👧🏻💜

Sankofa Family Center is excited to announce that we’re starting a NEW GIRL SCOUT TROOP! 🎉🍪

Calling all girls in 2nd–6th grade! It doesn’t matter where you live—if you can make it to our meetings at 1302 Jefferson Street, Chesapeake, VA 23324, we want YOU! 💕

This troop is about so much more than cookies (although…we won’t complain about cookies 😜🍪). It’s about bringing girls together to:

🌟 Build confidence and discover just how amazing they are
💪🏽 Empower one another to try new things and step outside their comfort zones
👯‍♀️ Build lasting friendships and create their own village of support
💗 Encourage each other through the good days, the hard days, and everything in between
🌱 Learn new skills, explore new opportunities, serve their community, and GROW together!

Because something magical happens when girls have a place where they feel heard, supported, understood, and encouraged to be themselves.

🗓️ Meetings: Twice a month on Tuesdays

Now let’s be honest how many of us in the community need a check up? Let’s make it convenient! 😎 today at 1302 Jefferson St., Chesapeake 23324. We will have the Chesapeake Mobile Clinic (which provides primary and preventative care, patient education, health screenings, diagnostic and pharmacy services) and the PEAKE Team (that provides supportive peer services harm reduction, resources, and behavioral health education.
Services Provided : Overdose Reversal: Free nasal naloxone (Narcan) and Revive! training materials.
Testing Supplies: Fentanyl, xylazine, and benzodiazepine drug testing strips.
Connection to Care: Information and referral pamphlets for CIBH treatment programs and mental health services.
Community Outreach: Direct peer support, guidance, and resource navigation in areas of need)

so yeah, lots of words, basically expressing the fact that when it comes to physical health, Mental Health and substance related issues, we got someone here for you They’re gonna be posted up in the parking lot from 9 to 3 walk-ins are welcome. See you there 😊

Heartfelt gratitude to each and every one who joined us for the community baby shower! We were blessed to share in the joy and celebrate the beauty of new life.
