Hey friends at Sentara CarePlex Hospital 🏥!! This is Willow Rayne who started an incredible initiative several years ago in memory of her mother who was also a nurse!! Called Sandy’s Snacks, she delivers 🚙🚗 beautiful 🤩 baskets 🧺 of delicious treats and snacks to a selected hospital in Hampton Roads. This year it’s Careplex and the delivery 🚚💕 is on Wednesday- June 17. She’s looking for a contact who can help facilitate the delivery throughout the hospital. In the Emergency Department, we see your impact every single shift. The prehospital report that helps us prepare. The lifesaving interventions started in the field. The reassurance you give families. The teamwork between EMS and ED staff is one of the strongest partnerships in healthcare.

You work in unpredictable environments:

L&D nurses are truly built different 💪👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️✨

They are ALWAYS 💞caring for a minimum of TWO patients at once — mom 🤰 and baby 👶 — and sometimes even more when multiples are involved 👶👶👶💕💕💕

What makes this team even more incredible is their ability to instantly transition from bedside nurse 🛏️➡️ to OR nurse 🏥🔪 if an emergency C-section becomes necessary 🚨

One moment they are coaching breathing 😮‍💨💕, comforting nervous parents 🫶, monitoring fetal heart tones 📈👶, and celebrating new life 🎉👣…

…and the next they are rapidly moving into lifesaving mode 🚑⚡🩺 preparing an OR, supporting anesthesia 💉, assisting with delivery 👶, and caring for both mom and baby simultaneously ❤️❤️

The level of teamwork 🤝, preparedness 📋, adaptability 🔄, calmness under pressure 😌🔥, and clinical expertise 🧠🩺 required in Labor & Delivery is truly extraordinary 🌟

These meals are truly made for healthcare workers 👩‍⚕️👨‍⚕️🩺💚 and honestly I have loved 🥰 every menu and meal since I started. I exclusively use the meals for work. My daughter who is also a nurse is excited about a great meal each shift.

No longer do you have to stress about meal prepping after an exhausting shift… figuring out a healthy balance of protein, carbs, and vegetables… or wondering whether your food will still taste good when you finally get a chance to eat 10 hours into your 12-hour shift. 😩⏰

That’s what makes these meals so perfect.

The majority of them are microwave-friendly and somehow still taste just as fresh, flavorful, and satisfying as if you had eaten them immediately. 🍽️✨

In healthcare, karma isn’t some mystical concept.
It’s culture.
It’s reputation.
It’s energy.
And eventually… it comes back around. 🔄

The nurse who helps their coworker clean a patient at 0645 even though their shift is technically over?
That nurse will one day have someone jump in to help them during a trauma. ❤️

The tech who notices another team member drowning and quietly starts the IV, gets the patient on the monitor, or transports without being asked?
People remember that. 👏

The charge nurse who protects their staff instead of throwing them under the bus?
That matters.

The leader who disappears during crisis but shows up for photo ops?
People remember that too. 👀

And honestly?
One of the most underrated forms of positive karma in healthcare is intentionally being kind. 💙

Giving genuine compliments.
Telling someone they handled a difficult patient beautifully.
Telling a coworker they look nice today.
Thanking EVS for turning over a room quickly.
Telling Respiratory “I appreciate you.”
Complimenting the unit secretary holding the department together.
Acknowledging the exhausted new grad who is trying SO hard.

Those tiny interactions matter more than people realize. ✨

People get to see your authentic self — who you are outside of work… while you’re at work.

And guess what?
YOU feel better too.

There’s something powerful about walking through a stressful department intentionally spreading positivity instead of absorbing negativity.

It changes the energy around you. ⚡

And scientifically?
That little dopamine rush from making someone smile during a hard shift is REAL. 😊

Healthcare will always be stressful.
But we still get to decide what kind of presence we bring into the room.

Eventually… you work in the culture you helped create. 🔄💙

I honestly cannot say enough good things about this company ! Thyme & Mana. Personal Meal Prep Solutions is literally saving me- time, money and waste. I’m happy because i know Im getting healthier meals than what I could make for myself. AND. . . Let’s talk about my newest little obsession… 💚🍽️

Thyme & Mana. Personal Meal Prep Solutions. This is the same vendor who donated over 600 meals to Care4frontline during the flu season this year! Do you remember?

As an ER nurse, one of my biggest weekly struggles has always been this:
👉 What am I bringing to work to eat?

For YEARS, it looked like the same rotation:
🥚 hard-boiled eggs
🥗 salads
🧀 cheese sticks
📦 quick, grab-and-go (often processed) foods

And let’s be honest… it gets BORING.

And when it gets boring?
➡️ You start ordering out with coworkers
➡️ You grab whatever’s quick
➡️ You end up overloaded on carbs
➡️ And then comes that awful, sleepy, sluggish feeling mid-shift 😴
