Join us for a third year of marvelous Koliada workshops! Thanks to community support, we’re back this year offering 2 Mask Making workshops- November 8th and 15th, from 10am to 12pm.

Here you can learn more about Koliada, sing our songs, and make marvelous masks. Located at The Telegraph School at 83 Alden Street, Cherry Valley. $20 suggested donation but, NOTAFLOF you ask? Nobody turned away for lack of funds 💕

$20 helps us continue buying mask making supplies, keeping the space warm, and pay our teachers a little so they can feel the abundance of support too. But of course if $20 isn’t possible at this time, we’d still love to make masks with you!

If you have the abundance to share, we’d welcome a larger donation as well. Want to join us as a performer? Go to TheTelegraphSchool.org/Koliada to learn more about how to apply.

Heating update!

Thanks to the hard work of Audrey Maldonado and Premier Phases, our new mini split heating system is installed and running beautifully. And today, Steve Zerby and his team are blowing in cellulose insulation to make the space warm and cozy all winter.

We got the new bank account set up today, so keep an eye out for our bathroom fundraiser, coming soon.

We’re grateful to everyone who has been helping build out our community art space. It takes a village!

Koliada returns!

This time we’re seeking performers to join our troupe. We are in the dark times and it will get darker before it is over. The light will not return unless we scare away the darkness!

Join us as a performer for Koliada, the ancient Slavic winter tradition of becoming giant animals, lightness, darkness, and ancestors.

Apply today to join our roving band of forest creatures troubadours, sharing songs and stories of community, and love overcoming darkness and fear. The application contains lists of important dates and requirements.

Stay tuned for more Koliada corner updates, upcoming workshops, and ways to volunteer if you can’t be a part of our marvelous troupe!

Join us this Saturday at 5pm for the Red Tent Women’s Circle. This month, as the leaves fall from the trees, we focus on Death and Meditation.

Rate Savittiere, Death Midwife, co-leads the gathering and has these wise words for us:

It is not all death and gloom. There is so much levity here. Talking openly about death that makes life feel even more alive. There is something incredibly grounding about sitting together and acknowledging the one thing we all have in common: we are mortal.

Please register at: https://www.thetelegraphschool.org/redtent

And a heartfelt thank you from Matthew:

Thank you to all the brothers that came to join The Forge for our first gathering at the Telegraph School. Our first session was Speak Your Truth. Practicing radical vulnerability with friends, acquaintances, and strangers takes lots of courage.

Thank you to all the men who shared and all those who came to the space to support and invite opportunities for connection in and outside the group.

Thank you brothers 🙏🏼

Date for next session (10/16 at 7:30pm) Please sign up on the website.

We’d like to introduce the facilitator for The Forge, the new men’s circle starting at 7:30pm this evening at The Telegraph School. By the way, we’ve had some registration hiccups, so please attend even if you haven’t gotten confirmation.

Meet Matthew O’Brien:

My father once told me “to be a father.” In these simple words I realized, he meant not only my children but in life.

My name is Matthew O’Brien and I am here as a father holding a dedicated space for men to share their truth, be heard, and forge brotherhood, courage through vulnerability, and learn through shared generational wisdom through inquiry working with thicker common threads.

The Forge is dedicated to bringing men together not only through men’s work in a circle, but in community and in nature.

Please join us tonight at The Telegraph School @ 7:30pm.

The first fallen leaves are carried away by the still-warm October wind, making room in our hearts for lyrical poems, funny stories from life, deep songs, warm tea, and delicious treats.

Our October Open Mic once again brought musicians, writers, and dreamers together under one roof at The Telegraph School.

Thank you to everyone who came, shared a piece of their heart, and made the evening what it was.

Until we meet next first November Friday!

And if that isn’t soon enough for you, please checkout these upcoming events:
