Meet Emily Collyns, the heartbeat behind our YouthScan Project.

As Program Manager, Emily builds a movement. She equips young people with the tools to collect real data, tell their own stories, and turn lived experience into advocacy that moves rooms and changes minds. Every insight gathered through the YouthScan Project becomes a step toward a more just, more youth-centered future.

Behind every youth voice amplified, every survey collected, and every advocacy win, there's Emily, showing up with heart, hustle, and unwavering belief in what young people can do when they're trusted to lead. And she does it all with a warm heart and a smile that's downright infectious.

Emily, thank you for the time, the dedication, and the vision you pour into YouthRoots every single day. We see you, and we're better because of you. 💛

We're hiring a Youth Leadership Development Manager to lead our youth leadership programs, including Youth Insight Labs and YouthBoard. Full-time, hybrid, based in Denver.

We're looking for a strong relationship builder who's highly organized and believes young people are leaders today.

Big week! Our team presented, sat on a panel, and tabled at DRC's Quarterly Convening. We connected with Fully Liberated Youth, Denver Healing Generations, and other orgs interested in Youth Insight Labs and Dashboard Subscriptions through The YouthScan Project, and met a few youth ready to get involved too.

Last Friday, young people took center stage at Colorado’s first Youth-Led Governor’s Forum alongside Senator Michael Bennet and Attorney General Phil Weiser.

Youth designed the format, picked the issues, wrote the questions, and moderated the stage, all backed by real data from the YouthRoots. Education equity, healthcare, housing, safety, and the economy. Their priorities. Their voices. Their forum.

Thank you to every student, partner, and community member who showed up, and a huge shoutout to our partners Invincibles for making this night possible.
