What a fun night in Cherry Hills Village!
A huge thank you to Michelle Warner and Maddie Johnson for hosting such a beautiful (and lively!) gathering in support of the Cherry Hills Village Police Foundation. It was one of those evenings that remind you how special this community really is.

Chief Lyons kept things engaging, sharing updates and answering great questions from guests.

And then… the stars of the show 🐾
Shadow and Tuco absolutely stole it. Their K9 demonstration had everyone watching, smiling, and maybe even a little in awe.

Nights like this are exactly what the Foundation is all about.
If you’re in Cherry Hills Village and would like to host a gathering like this, we’d love to connect. Learn more at

Fair warning… Shadow and Tuco tend to outshine everyone. 🐾

🚔 A Year of Impact. A Community That Shows Up. 💙
We’re proud to share the Cherry Hills Village Police Foundation’s 2025 Annual Report — a look at what we’ve accomplished together over the past year.
Because of this community, we were able to support critical needs like:
• K9 program funding 🐾
• Life-saving equipment
• Officer wellness initiatives
• Rapid response resources when seconds truly matter
Every dollar given, every show of support, and every moment of trust made a real difference.
Take a few minutes to see the impact for yourself:

Safety is not only about response time. It is about understanding.
The Blue Envelope Program is a thoughtful initiative that helps ensure positive, respectful interactions between first responders and community members who may experience communication challenges.
We are proud to stand behind a department that prioritizes preparedness and compassion in equal measure.
This is what community policing looks like!

💙✉ Really proud of our participation in The Blue Envelope Program.
It helps people who might have communication challenges during interactions with first responders.

When you read this story, remember one thing:
Preparation saves lives. Officer Belding’s quick response, combined with trained medical professionals and the right equipment, made all the difference for Craig on the High Line Canal Trail. Cardiac arrest does not give warnings. It does not wait for perfect timing. Survival depends on immediate action and access to life-saving tools like AEDs.
We are incredibly proud of our officers and grateful for the coordinated response that brought Craig home to his family. Stories like this are a powerful reminder of why readiness matters!

😂🎉🐾 Happy 2nd Birthday to K9 Shadow! 🐾🎉😂
January 9 is a BIG day around here because our very own Cherry Hills Village Police Department K9, Shadow, turns two. That’s right, officially entering his terrible twos… which mostly means more confidence, more energy, and absolutely zero tolerance for bad guys.
Seen here rocking his high-tech goggles, Shadow is clearly trying to figure out why everyone looks funnier and whether these things make it even easier to spot suspects who think they can run. Spoiler alert: they can’t. 😎🐕‍🦺
When he’s not keeping our community safe, Shadow is busy being incredibly handsome, stealing hearts, and reminding us that even the most serious police dogs deserve birthday treats (dog-approved only) and a few extra belly rubs.
Happy Birthday, Shadow! Thanks for protecting our community and proving that crime never looks good—especially through K9 goggles. 🎂🐾💙

Today is National Law Enforcement Appreciation Day 💙
Today, we pause to recognize and thank the dedicated law enforcement officers who serve our community with integrity, courage, and compassion. Every day and night, they put service above self, often in moments most of us never see, to keep our neighborhoods safe.
At the Cherry Hills Village Police Foundation, we are deeply grateful for the men and women of the Cherry Hills Village Police Department who protect and serve our community with professionalism and heart.
If you see an officer today, a simple thank you goes a long way. We are proud to stand behind those who stand up for us. 💙🚓
