Last week, we had the opportunity to present our second annual Kathleen Anne Joyce Education Foundation Scholarship for $10,000 to a student pursuing a college degree in education.

This year's recipient is Angelina Stewart, a Collingswood High School senior who will be attending Rowan University in the fall with a major in early education. Angelina shared that our mom, Kathy Joyce, was her 2nd grade teacher at Zane North Elementary and her inspiration for wanting to pursue a career in education. Angelina, we know our Mom is proud of you.❤️

Stay tuned…! We will be posting information about upcoming fundraisers to continue to support our mission.

KAJ Education Foundation

The Kathleen Anne Joyce Education Foundation was created in honor of Kathy Joyce, a 2nd grade teacher at Zane North Elementary School in Collingswood, N.J. who passed away in 2017 after a hard-fought battle with uterine cancer. Kathy was a leader in her school community. She was a passionate educator who also worked as an adjunct professor at Rutgers University - Camden. Kathy was extremely devoted to her students and pushed them to do their best work always. The KAJ Education Foundation was founded by her husband and three children who are committed to carrying on Kathy’s mission of promoting and improving early childhood literacy.
