Caron Adams, 10, was diagnosed with a brain tumor in 2010. His family had been staying at a hotel in Cherry Hill but were asked to leave to make room for Memorial Day weekend guests.

To those of you who are unfamiliar with Zach’s story, we would like to share with you a brief overview. Zach, 14, is the son of one of our co-workers, Chris Malmstrom. Zach was diagnosed with an aggressive form of bone cancer, Osteosarcoma, in August of this year. After several rounds of aggressive chemotherapy, Zach and his family were informed, the removal of Zach’s entire left leg was imperative in order for the cancer not to spread. At that time, the physicians were uncertain if Zach would be able to receive a prosthetic due to the location of the removal. Fortunately, due to advances made within prosthetic technology, Zach was able to go to his first fitting for a prosthetic the week before Christmas.

Alpine Brokerage has arranged the following benefit in order to help support the Malmstrom Family. We want to show them they are not alone in this fight as Zach travels through this very challenging path at a very young age.

Hi guys - This will take 4 minutes of your time and make a huge difference in the life of someone that has cancer. See below.

10-year-old Korie Howard is fighting the battle of her life. In the fall of 2012 then 9-year-old Korie was diagnosed with osteosarcoma. She has been through numerous chemo regimens, radiation, hospital stays and even had a total knee replacement and femur resection. Despite all of the treatment she has received, nothing has worked to stop the cancer from spreading. Korie is unable to do the simple things in life, like walk. She has become increasingly depressed. When her mother asked her recently how she felt about having cancer, her reply was, "I try not to think about it, but how can you not think about it." My wish is that everyone would send Korie a card or a letter so this young child can smile once again. She is so tired from fighting that she needs some cheer in her life and some inspiration to keep fighting.

Hope everyone had a great Mother's day. The Make A Child Smile Foundation was able to deliver chocolates to 3 hospitals and 1 pediatric facility. We wanted to bring a smile to the Mothers in the hospital with their children as well as the nurses who dedicate their time an energy to making a difference in the lives of others. We could not do this without the loving support of you all.
