Build Jake's Place

Build Jake's Place We built the first “all-inclusive playground" in (Southern) New Jersey. Jake's Place allows children and adults of all abilities to play and interact together.

Our motto: A Playground for Everybody! Located in Cherry Hill, NJ & Delran, NJ. Jake’s Place is named after Jake Nasto. A very beloved child that had a rare cardiac medical condition. Although he only was alive for only 27 months he made a huge impact on the people that knew him. Jake's Place was created by Joe & Kate Nasto, and the BJP Board of Directors, and stands as a monument not only to the

memory of “Baby Jake”, but to the hard work, generous spirit and boundless love of the Camden County community.

In 2025, Build Jake’s Place officially changed names to Our View. Because of this name change, we will no longer be posting on this page, but our work continues!

We continue to manage the Camden County New Jersey Miracle League, our baseball league for disabled children adults. We host days of play at our inclusive playgrounds every spring and fall, and we consult with schools and businesses on all things related to disabilities.

Please follow our new page Our View to keep up with everything that we are doing.

To Educate, raise awareness and change the tone of conversation on topics related to disabilities

On Thursday, November 13th, Build Jake’s Place co-founders Jim and Lynn Cummings were honored with a proclamation from the Camden County Board of Commissioners at their monthly meeting. This recognition celebrates nearly two decades of the Cummings’ dedication to bringing inclusive play to New Jersey in memory of their grandson, Jake. Work that has touched countless families and communities in Camden County, and beyond.

Jim and Lynn extend their heartfelt thanks and proudly share this honor with their family especially Jake’s parents Kate Cummings and Joseph Nasto, and with all of you.

Your belief in the mission of Build Jake’s Place made this journey possible.

They also hope you will continue supporting our newly named nonprofit Our View under the leadership of Executive Director Art Aston as he carries this mission forward; educating, advocating, and reshaping conversations about disabilities to create a more accessible and inclusive world for everyone.
