EWICE focuses on development of strong cultural ties and coordination between and among all ethnic groups in the community, through strong compassion, promotion of dignity of immigrants, and support and recognition of each ethnic group’s language and dialect while also promoting increased English language skills.
Founding and Background:
The East-West International Culture Exchange was founded and established in 2019 by Truc Tang, a compassionate immigrant from the country of Vietnam. Mrs. Tang recently completed providing ten years of dedicated and skilled immigration services as a BIA accredited representative at Catholic Charities of South Jersey, which has main administrative offices in Camden. Catholic Charities is a non-profit, social services organization providing services to all who come to it for assistance. As a BIA representative, Mrs. Tang provided immigration services to hundreds of refugees and immigrants from many countries from around the world, with obtaining Green Card, family reunification, DACA services, and U.S. citizenship.
The BIA (Board of Immigration Appeals) is part of the federal U.S. Justice Department, and is the highest administrative body in the U.S. for interpreting and applying U.S. immigration laws. As an accredited BIA representative, Mrs. Tang can practice U.S. immigration law as a non-attorney, and is authorized to communicate directly with the federal U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services (USCIS) on behalf of clients.
Mrs. Tang intends to use her many years of immigration services, and BIA accreditation, to continue to provide skilled and compassionate immigration services through the East-West International Culture Exchange.
Our Goal:
At EWICE we have five main goals which we focus on, in providing immigration services for all immigrants and refugees in South Jersey that need our services:
1) Create a sense of community among the immigrants we serve, and assist them to adapt to American culture without losing their own identity and culture.
2) Provide skilled, effective and compassionate immigration services to immigrants and refugees needing our services.
3) Treat all of our clients with respect, dignity, compassion and integrity.
4) Provide awareness and education on the causes of key health issues and problems in the community, that affect immigrant and refugee families.
5) Provide immigrants and refugees with tools to integrate into American culture, while respecting their own origins and traditions and language.
