Hi, I'm Susan Carlson, Founder of Reveal to Heal Ministries. This ministry was born from a deep calling to see women healed, restored, and walking boldly in who God created them to be. At Reveal to Heal, we create spaces for transformation through powerful conferences, inner healing, and one-on-one...

People-pleasing can become a prison when we allow the opinions of people to become louder than the voice of God.

"When Approval Becomes an Idol"

Sometimes the hardest chains to break are the invisible ones. The chains of needing approval. The chains of wanting everyone to understand us. The chains of fearing rejection if we fully step into what God has called us to do.

As women, many of us have spent years trying to make everyone happy. We shrink ourselves so others feel comfortable. We silence our voice so we won’t be criticized. We delay obedience because we are waiting on confirmation from people when God has already spoken.

But if God called you, why are you waiting for man to validate it?
People are flesh and blood. They are imperfect. Their opinions change with emotions, seasons, and circumstances. One moment they celebrate you, and the next moment they misunderstand you. If your confidence is built on human approval, your calling will constantly feel unstable.

The enemy knows this. That’s why he fights so hard in our minds. He whispers things like:
“What if they judge you?”
“What if they don’t support you?”
“What if you fail?”
“Who do you think you are?”
But Scripture tells us exactly what to do with thoughts like these. 2 Corinthians 10:5 says:
“We take captive every thought to make it obedient to Christ.”
Not some thoughts.
Not the easy thoughts.
Every thought.

The moment insecurity starts speaking louder than God’s promises, we must take those thoughts captive before they take control of us. You do not need constant applause to walk in obedience. Jesus did not call you to please people; He called you to follow Him.🔥❤️🙏❤️🔥🔥

Galatians 1:10 - " Am I now trying to win the approval of human beings, or of God? Or am I trying to please people? If I were still trying to please people, I would not be a servant of Christ. "✝️🔥❤️🙏🔥✝️

Many people are waiting to be ready for God's calling. But God used people who were a hot mess to help write the Word.

Do you worry about things out of your control? If so, read this devotional I wrote especially for you.

Worry has a way of stealing our peace before anything has even happened. It fills our minds with “what ifs,” keeps us awake at night, and convinces us that somehow, if we worry enough, we can control the outcome. But Jesus reminds us in Matthew 6:27, “Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life?” Worry changes nothing except our focus. Instead of fixing the problem, it often magnifies our fear.

The truth is, God never asked us to carry tomorrow. He simply asks us to trust Him today. That doesn’t mean it’s easy. Sometimes anxiety creeps in even when we know God is faithful. But every time worry rises, we have a choice: hold onto the burden or place it into the hands of the One who already knows the outcome. Philippians 4:6 reminds us to bring everything to God in prayer instead of being anxious. Prayer may not instantly remove every fear, but it does remind our hearts that we are not fighting alone.

Whatever is weighing heavy on your heart today, give it to God. The same God who has carried you before will carry you again. His peace is greater than your panic, and His presence is stronger than your fear.

Prayer for my brothers and sisters in Christ

Lord, help me surrender the things I cannot control. When worry tries to consume my thoughts, remind me that You are already working things out for my good. Fill my heart with Your peace and teach me to trust You one day at a time. Amen.

Take time today to sit in His presence, to be still, to listen, and to let His truth pour back into you. That quiet time with Jesus is where strength is restored, peace is found, and your spirit is renewed.🔥

“Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest.” — Matthew 11:28 ❤️

Fill your cup first… so you can pour into others from overflow. 💛

Hello sweet sisters. If you haven't already, let Jesus know something that you are grateful for today.

Does your plan align with God's will for your life? I have learned what it looks like if you don't invite God into your plans. I have learned what it feels like when you invite God into your plans.

There is a significant difference when you invite God into EVERYTHING in your life. God wants to be involved in the details of your life. Not just the big moments, not just the big decisions, he wants to hold your hand and walk with you every step of today.

Isaiah 41:13 says, "For I am the LORD your God, who upholds your right hand, who says to you, 'Do not fear, I will help you'".
