Cheraw’s Downtown Needs Action from Local Government!

Downtown Cheraw is full of potential, but neglected, rundown buildings are holding it back. It’s time for local government to step up and take action to ensure building owners are held accountable.

Save Cheraw:

Enforce Building Codes: Local government must ensure property owners maintain their buildings and bring them up to code.

Impose Fines for Neglect: Neglecting buildings downtown shouldn’t be allowed. Fines for non-compliance would push owners to either fix properties or sell to someone who will invest in Cheraw’s future.

Support for Property Improvements: Offer tax incentives or grants to owners who are committed to restoring and updating buildings.

The community deserves a vibrant, thriving downtown. It’s time for local leaders to take charge and make this happen! Let’s make some noise and push for the change needed!
