Hey guys! I hope you are all staying healthy during this worrisome time. Sarah sent me this email and I would like to share it with you all!

“Recognizing the challenges faced by students everywhere during these unique circumstances, Active Minds has created a special online hub for students to support their mental health during COVID-19, and for the next 30 days, we are opening our Student Slack Network to all students (usually only open to Active Minds Chapter Members to connect with the Active Minds team and each other via chat)”

NSCS is proud to announce the launch of the Emergency Scholar Assistance Program, specifically designed for NSCS members who may be experiencing financial, academic and/or housing hardships during the COVID-19 pandemic.

The application process takes less than 5 minutes and is due no later than midnight this Wednesday, March 18, 2020 (so that we can review and identify recipients ASAP). Apply now.

Eligible members will qualify for a limited pool of funds equivalent to a one time maximum of $125 per person in the form of a digital gift card. While it is far from our largest scholarship, we hope to help many of you offset any unexpected expenses incurred as a result of this pandemic. -Sarah

I hope your week is going well! I just wanted to give you all another reminder about the mobile food bank volunteer opportunity this Wednesday. It will be held on 3/11 and take place in front of the PUB from 11-1pm and may even run until 2. It you are interested please let me know!

Hey guys!!!

I hope your week is going well! I just want to let you all know about a community service opportunity that is coming up. we would love you all to help out at the mobile market on campus. It will be held on 3/11 and take place in front of the PUB from 11-1pm and may even run until 2 pm.

The organizer of this event said “ we do not expect volunteers to stay the whole time, but if members of your group could cover each hour between 11am and 2pm, that would be very helpful to us and the efficiency of the event.”

If any of you are interested and can come anytime between 11 and 1 let me know by commenting below.This is a good opportunity to help support others and represent EWU NSCS!
