🎁 2nd Annual Valley Lodge 153 C.A.R.E. Program Was A Heartfelt Success! 🎄
This year marked the 2nd Annual Valley Lodge No. 153 C.A.R.E. Program (Compassion and Respect for Elders), and once again, it reminded us what can happen when a community comes together with purpose and heart.
Working with Elderwood At Waverly, we identified comfort items that our long-term residents, who are too often overlooked, truly needed. From there, our Lodge members and the greater Valley Community stepped up in an incredible way.
Thanks to that generosity, we were able to collect, wrap, and deliver hundreds of items, including clothing, games, hygiene products, quilts, snacks, and much more. A very special and heartfelt thank you to Deb Barto and Karen Shumway, whose beautifully handcrafted quilts were nothing short of amazing. The time, care, and dedication that go into each quilt make them especially meaningful gifts. We were also grateful to receive additional blankets from the Sayre Salvation Army once the Valley’s needs were met, allowing even more comfort to be shared. Additionally, we would like to thank Tammy Jones for her kind contributions.
Seeing the joy, warmth, and Christmas spirit brought to the residents of Elderwood was truly heartwarming. We could not be prouder of what was accomplished—not just as a Lodge, but as an entire community.
This is what it means to truly C.A.R.E.
Thank you to every Lodge member, volunteer, and community supporter who helped make this program a success. Together, we are making a real difference.
