Four-ish years ago, Speckle came into my life, pulled from the Chouteau pound as a youngster. She is a deeply fearful soul who keeps her distance from almost everyone. But she chose me to be her mom. 🥹Getting to cuddle like this while she rests so soundly is a reminder of how far we've come. She’ll get up shortly and go back to being a total weirdo, but right now, I’m just grateful to be her safe place.

Five innocent puppies at the Chouteau pound have spent weeks confined to a single kennel. They have don’t get to feel the grass under their paws. They are spending their crucial puppy days trapped on concrete for their own safety.

I desperately want to rescue them and give them the life they deserve, but I cannot do it alone. I fund 90% of my rescue efforts directly out of my own pocket, and I am completely tapped out. I need to raise immediate funds for their medical care and initial supplies to pull them out of the pound.
