Hello My Lovely OK Amp Family. Happy Sunday 😊

DO NOT LET ANYONE EVER TELL YOU BECAUSE YOUR A AMPUTEE YOU CANNOT DO SOMETHING.

I was sick of our local parks 4 flower beds not being tended to for the past 3+ years. I talked to our county commissioner and was given permission to take on the project 5 months ago if I felt I could. I was given left over flowers from the FFA and was told good luck.

I have weeded, cut, trimmed, so much I know this park like the back of my hand.

I personally have done all the dirty work. I have asked for help many times and had people say they would come better they never showed up. I do have 1 person who has been there to help me when I water :)

I am not doing this for a popularity contest, I am not doing this to show off, I am doing this because I can. You guys more then anyone understand how many times I hv had to sit and adjust my leg, take it off and dump the water out from the triple digits, how hard it is to crawl across the mud. But I did it cause this is what I love.

When I lost my leg I was determined that I was going to do everything I loved before I lost my leg and being outside on the garden is one of favorite things. So if by doing this I can Bless my community, encourage others with disabilities especially Amputees, and remember that I CAN DO ANYTHING I PUT MY ❤️ TOO. Then my day is Awesome :)

Limb Loss Awareness Month Month Fact #14 ..... Crazy Fact... Per Hangers Website African-American are 4x more likely to become Amputees because of diabetes and PADS.

This is sad. But I also know that the stats for Native Americans is higher then Whites due to lack of health care, resources, and education.

Limb loss and limb difference are more common than you might think. Learn the facts, and help spread the word that anything is possible.

Limb Loss Awareness Month Fact #12 ...
Some of us forget we are Amputees. Seriously! Some of us are get so used to our prothestic pieces that we make it look like it's a piece of cake. We can wear jeans or a long sleeve jacket and cover up our it up and you would have no clue. Flip this statement there are others who hate there bodies. They hate there prosthetic. They have difficulty walking or using there arm or hand. It just doesn't work for them.

Either way Amputees hate when that's anyone's main focus. We yes we are c Amputees. Yes we lost a body part. But it's done and over. We are still The Awesome Person You Knew Before. Nothing Changed. Don't Baby Us. We are still adults:)

Amputee Awarness Month Day 6 Fact...

Not All Amputations Are Diabetic Retalated. Yes a large majority are. But no not everyone is. I had a friend and it would drive her bonkers when people just assumed. Myself I lost mine to a car wreck. So before you sit there and try to guess just ask. Most of us have no problem sharing our story 😀
