The Little Pebble Foundation was founded by Albert Staton and Jennifer Taylor; the parents of two boys who were both born several months premature. Malachi Staton was born March 24, 2007, four months premature. While in the hospital, Malachi suffered from an accident that resulted in the loss of all of the fingers on his left hand. Al and Jenny have started The Little Pebble Foundation to provide
aid, support, and tools for premature children, amputees, and their families who struggle to adapt and find answers in WNY and surrounding areas. Malachi was born March 24, 2007, four months pre-mature. While still in the hospital he lost the fingers on his left hand, making him an amputee just shortly after birth. As parents of a young child starting to notice just how different he is from his peers, we set out to find ways to educate ourselves while helping him build and maintain confidence. It was when we were looking for support and information that we quickly realized just how little was to be found. After spending countless nights searching online looking for some kind of aid within Western New York, we decided to widen our search. If the help we were looking for could not be found here, then surely someone somewhere would have the answer we were looking for. By almost pure coincidence, we found a company from the Rochester area which just so happened to have an office in Buffalo. They agreed to meet with us and it seemed as though they were just as eager to meet Malachi as we were to meet them. They initially introduced us to Camp No Limits, a summer camp for amputee children. From there we went to our first Camp No Limits experience in Maine.
