This past Saturday, March 21, Cheboygan High School students senior Lexi Baker and freshmen Abigail Bradley, performed at state solo/ensemble at Kingsley High School and each earned division 1 ratings on their respective solos. Congratulations to both young musicians on their fine performances and way to make Chief Nation proud!

Good luck tonight to Rylan Davis (trumpet), Griffin Stead (bass clarinet) and Julie Rodriguez (trombone) as they play in the Michigan School Band & Orchestra District 2 Middle School Honors Band performance with guest Conductor Michael Emerson.

Such an honor for these students to be selected to perform! Huge appreciation for Band Director Garrett Romero to get them prepared for such a fantastic event. 🎶🎵🎶

Good luck to our Middle School and High School Concert Bands as they will be performing at the Band Festival today, Wednesday, February 25 at 5:20pm slot at Petoskey Middle School.

This performance is open to the public, so parents and family are welcome to go and watch the band perform on stage.

These kids have been working hard to hone in their skills and look forward to performing under the direction of Band Director Garrett Romero.

On Wednesday afternoon, students from across Northern Michigan traveled to Charlevoix High School to audition for MSBOA District 2 High School Honors Band. Several band students from Cheboygan High School auditioned with four being part of the final selection!

Congratulations to Lexi, Abigail, John, Eli, and Jack for being chosen to be a part of Honors Band!

Honors Band weekend is Saturday and Sunday, December 6&7 at Harbor Springs High School with a final performance on Sunday, December 7th at 1:00 pm. For those interested in attending the concert, it is open to the public and the cost is $5 per person and $10 per family.

Day 2 of Northern Michigan University’s Band Day! It was an amazing learning opportunity for the students and looking forward to potentially going back next year! Facebook isn't being cooperative with uploading of all the videos we took so here is a highlight of "The Monster Mash" performed by 20 schools and over 800 students all together with just a few hours practice!

Thank you everyone for your support of our Marching Band and be on the look out for posting as we switch over to Concert Band with holiday performances and parades!

Day 1 in the books! Left Cheboygan at 6:30 am and headed to Marquette.
The students had the amazing opportunity to practice with the Northern Michigan University Marching Band in preparation for tomorrow's performance at the football game.
Special recognition goes to senior student Lexi Baker who applied to NMU, auditioned for the Music Program today and was offered a spot and she accepted!!! She was even given the special opportunity to conduct the Wildcat Marching Band during their warm up routine!

This Friday and Saturday (10/24 &10/25), the Chief Marching Band will be attending the Northern Michigan University Band Day in Marquette.
They will be one of 19 bands that are participating in this years event and there are expected to be about 800 students in attendance.
Let's send them some GOOD LUCK and let's celebrate the Pride of Chief Country, the Cheboygan Marching Chiefs, as they head north this Friday!🎼🥁🏆🖤🤍🧡

Good luck to the Cheboygan Chiefs High School Marching Band today as they travel to Traverse City this afternoon to perform in the annual MSBOA District 2 Marching Exposition at Thirlby Field!

Our performance time is slotted to be 5:15 if you happen to be in the area or want to make the trip to show the young adults some support! Then feel free to stay and watch other local bands play! There is an entry fee and concessions will be available.
