Thanks to our Fair Committee for their creativity and hard work! The Floral Exhibit got First Place and the Special Award. The Organizational Exhibit was also wonderful and got Second Place. Thanks also to John K. for building the fencing and raised bed. Yay!

Seedums Garden Clubs members enjoyed our field trip to Bear Creek Organic Farm in Petoskey today - despite the very thick smoke from the wildfires in Minnesota and Ontario.

Our hosts Anne and Brian Bates were as gracious as could be and gave a wonderful and very informative tour of their 79-acre organic farming enterprise and how they had developed it. It's amazing how quickly they grew from being told, "You can't make a living farming." to the wildly successful year-round operation that now supports their family and 30-40 employees.

Good news, Cheboygan! It's time for Cheboygan in Bloom. Teams from Seedums Garden Club will be driving around giving recognition for home dwellers' efforts to improve their properties and highlight their curb appeal.

Cheboygan in Bloom runs from 15 to 31 July each year. You never know when the team blooming your area within the city limits will be there, but they WILL be!

We have a lovely community and it's thanks to a lot of hard work and creativity by property owners and renters throughout the year. Kudos to all of you!!!

REMINDER: Our upcoming Seedums Garden Club meeting on July 16th will be a field trip to Bear Creek Organic Farms. The address is:

--The tour starts at 9:45 and lasts until approximately 10:45
--BCF has a food truck that starts serving lunch at 11:00. They have lawn tables & a brand new pavilion with picnic tables.

Seedums Garden Club members had a great time with the residents of MediLodge assisted living facility. We put together red, white and blue floral arrangements with ferns and bright ribbon accents.The residents were able to take the arrangements back to their rooms. Thanks to everyone, especially the nurses, attendants and activities coordinators at the center.
