Today, we reap the rewards of our hard work on charity donation day! We donated $3000 to Art Vision Cheboygan and $3000 to Chelsea's Closet. The impact of our contributions is a powerful reminder of what we can achieve together. The gratitude from both organizations is a testament to the value of our collective efforts. It's extraordinary to go from thinking this may be the 40th and final Rivertown Follies to seeing our donations reach new heights, a direct result of our community's compassion and commitment. To our cast, your tireless efforts have made a real difference. To our audience and sponsors, you are the unsung heroes. Without your support, the Rivertown Follies wouldn't be here to support other worthy organizations. We thank you with every fiber of our being and will see you in the spring of 2027!

We lost one the the Rivertown Follies biggest cheerleaders today. Roger gained his independence from pain and illness early this morning. He was a man that loved the arts in all forms and supported them in any way he could. He wanted nothing more than to be a part of the Rivertown Follies and even though he only got a small taste of what it was like, he was extremely thankful for the experience. This community will be forever changed by the efforts he put forth to promote it. Our hearts go out to all of his family, friends and loved ones during this time.

Just a reminder that the final board meeting with the current sitting board will convene on July 1 at 5:30 PM at the Great Lakes Grill, followed by the 2026 Annual Meeting at approximately 6:00 PM. The Annual Meeting will cover the organization's financial status and overall state, among other pertinent matters. Currently, no changes are slated for membership vote. The first meeting of the newly elected board will immediately follow the Annual Meeting. All meetings are open to the public and we invite active participation.

Yesterday I was lucky enough to go see a run through of Moana Junior because I will be out of town for all of their show dates. You really need to see the show! They do this in the same time frame that we do the Follies, and it is amazing how well it went for only being Tuesday 🤩 I didn’t get to see them do it in front of an audience, or with costumes but they did such a fabulous job, I can only imagine how it will be even BETTER! Several kids in this show were in our most recent Follies. Pick one of the days and get out and support the show. These are the humans that are going to carry on our theater in northern Michigan. I was thinking of it like the feeder programs for sports where they start kids in elementary school with travel, rec, or school related teams. That’s how you get them to learn and get them interested so that you have teams when high school comes along. We’ve had s several classes of kids that are no in to theater, hence no musical at the high school for the last couple years. THIS is a huge group of kids that are interested in musical theater and are doing a fabulous job. I will stop now 😊😂
GO SUPPORT THEM!
