π And just like thatβ¦ Year 12 is a wrap. π
Yesterday there was our final two proms of the season. Today was the last day for returns. The 2025β2026 school year of dances is officially closed β and I am sitting here, completely humbled.
From September through May β with just a short breath between Thanksgiving and Christmas, we go non stop, every weekend, nights after work. We showed up, we served, and we kept going. This year had its challenges. There were emotional moments. There were times we simply put our heads down and asked for patience and grace. But through every single one of those moments, you showed up too.
To our students β every one of you, from 9th to 12th grade, new faces and returning ones β you made this year remarkable. The growth we experienced was unbelievable, and so much of that is because of you. You are kind. You are considerate. You are caring. You make us so incredibly proud, and each of you is a beautiful representation of everything Chelseaβs Closet is, does, and wants for every student who walks through our door. It is an absolute privilege to have you! Thank you for sharing your kindness and your enthusiasm with us. π
To our parents β thank you for sharing your children with us. That is not something we take lightly, It is an honor, every time. π©·π
To our graduating Seniors β oh, you. You are going to change the world. Go see it. Go do and be. You will always land on your feet β I am so proud of each of you. Our door is always open. If you see our light on, come visit. π₯°
As I close out Year 12, I keep coming back to one word: grateful. Grateful that you believed in this dream. Grateful that you continue to let me do this. Grateful for every student who trusted us with one of the most memorable nights of their young lives.
Thank you for making Year 12 unforgettable. πβ¨
