⚠️⚠️⚠️ ATTENTION SKYWARN SPOTTERS ⚠️⚠️⚠️

There is a growing risk for severe weather this afternoon and throughout the evening hours. High heat and humidity is providing lots of fuel for severe storm development. At this time our risks include damaging winds up to 80 mph, large hail, flooding, and an isolated tornado or two.

At this time we're asking spotters to prepare for activation. Please be sure batteries are charged and radios are in good working order.

We will once again conduct spotter nets on the Northern Michigan Linked Repeater Network and on our zello channel.

Please keep an ear on the network for when we begin taking spotter reports. Updates will follow as we go into the afternoon hours.

We are excited to share that the Northern Michigan Linked Repeater Network has significantly expanded its capabilities. Our Allstar analog network now proudly supports P25, DMR, NXDN, and Yaesu System Fusion. This integration allows for greater interoperability and a wider range of communication possibilities. We believe these enhancements will greatly benefit our users. We look forward to exploring the new features with you.

******SKYWARN NET ALERT*******

Happy Thanksgiving everyone! As lake effect snow continues to fall all across northern michigan we've began our skywarn nets to gather snowfall amounts for the US National Weather Service Ga***rd Michigan office.

Our next scheduled net will occur at 1:00 PM this afternoon on the Northern Michigan Linked Repeater Network. Please join us, if able, with snowfall totals, wind speeds, and any weather related impacts from your area.

Just a reminder winter storm warnings and winter weather advisories are still in place for almost all of our NWS forecasting area through till tomorrow.
