🧥 Coats for Kids Drive – A Huge Success! 🧤

The Deputy Sheriff’s Association would like to extend a heartfelt thank you to our incredible community and local businesses for helping make this year’s Coats for Kids drive such a success.

Because of your generosity, we were able to deliver warm winter gear directly to local schools and families who need it most.

Thanks to your support, we distributed:
309 coats
223 hats
234 pairs of gloves
64 pairs of snowpants
136 pairs of boots
132 additional warm clothing items

This would not be possible without the people, businesses and organizations who stepped up to support our kids: Straits Area Printing, Black Diamond Broadcasting, Wheeler Motors, Bishop GMC, Fernelius Toyota, Citizens National Bank, Alpena Alcona Area Credit Union, Straits Area Credit Union, Urban Bird, Inverness Fire Department, FOP Lodge #122, K&K Aggregates, Ryan Marine Construction, White Pines Electric, Alcock’s Market, BC Pizza, Midwest Towing, Indian River Towing, STOP Ga***rd, and Douglas Lake Womenade.

🎄🤠 TONIGHT 🤠🎄

It’s parade night! Grab your flannel, bundle up the kids and come out for one of the most entertaining traditions in Northern Michigan, the Riggsville Redneck Christmas Parade 🎅🚜✨

The parade is collecting food donations, and also Coats for Kids donations to help keep local kids warm this winter.

Every donation, big or small helps make the season brighter for members of our community.

🎄🎅 Redneck Christmas Parade 🚔🧥🥫

The Riggsville Redneck Christmas Parade is happening this Saturday, and if you know… you KNOW. It is the best Christmas Parade in Northern Michigan 🔥🎄

🥫 The parade is collecting food donations on the last float in the parade and at Scared Heart Church.

🧥 Coats for Kids is collecting new & gently used winter gear, just look for our patrol car parked at Scared Heart Church.

⏰ Parade starts at 6:00 PM

🚨 🚓 What a night! 🚓 🚨

Our Charity Hockey Game was a huge success and we collected:

🧥 78 coats
❄️ 10 pairs of snow pants
🥾 5 pairs of boots
🧢 40 hats
🧤 60 pairs of gloves

These donations will go directly toward helping local kids stay warm this winter we can’t thank everyone enough.

On the ice, the Cops took the win over the Straits Area Men’s League 18–5… and the Cops only had to buy a few goals to do it. 😉

Thank you to everyone who donated, cheered, played, and supported this great cause. 💙🏒

Join us at 7 PM at the Cheboygan Ice Rink for the Coats for Kids Charity Hockey Game!

Bring a new or gently used winter item or a cash donation for admission and cheer on your local first responders as they take on the Straits Area Men’s League.

Don’t forget our Coats for Kids Charity Hockey Game is happening tomorrow night at 7 PM at the Cheboygan Ice Rink!

We’ll also be holding a 50/50 drawing and giving away some awesome prizes, including:
• $100 gift certificate from Wheeler Motors
• Free oil change from Bishop GMC Cadillac
• Two $25 gift certificates from Alcocks Market / BC Pizza

🏒 THIS SATURDAY: Charity Hockey Game! 🏒

Just a reminder that our Coats for Kids Charity Hockey Game is happening THIS Saturday, December 6th at 7:00 PM at the Cheboygan Ice Rink!

Admission is by donation and all proceeds go directly to the Coats for Kids charity to help keep local children warm this winter. Bring a coat, bring a few dollars, bring your family, every bit helps!

The Coats for Kids drive continues through the end of December, but Saturday night is our biggest fundraiser, and we’d love to see the stands packed.

Come cheer on your local first responders, enjoy a great night of hockey, and support an amazing cause. This event is put on by the Cheboygan Deputy Sheriff's Association and FOP Lodge #122.

Our Coats for Kids Drive is Going Strong! 🧥❄️

Donations have been coming in steadily, and we’re incredibly grateful for the community’s support. Every coat, hat, and pair of gloves helps keep local kids warm this winter, and you’re making a real difference.

Don’t forget, our Charity Hockey Game is coming up on December 6th at 7:00 PM! 🏒

Admission is by donation of new or gently used winter gear,or even a monetary donation, and all proceeds go directly toward supporting this year’s Coats for Kids Drive.
