Sponsored by the Cheat Lake Elementary School PTO, we are made up of girls and boys in grades K-5th.

Cub Scout Pack 52 was proud to partner with the Izaak Walton League for a community service project at Cheat Lake Park!

Our Scouts rolled up their sleeves, grabbed trash bags, and worked together to help keep one of our community's favorite outdoor spaces clean and beautiful. Through service projects like this, Scouts learn the importance of stewardship, conservation, and giving back to the communities they call home.

A huge thank you to the Izaak Walton League for organizing this opportunity and to all of our Scouts, leaders, and families who volunteered their time to make a difference. We are proud of the hard work and dedication shown by these young leaders.

Together, we're helping leave Cheat Lake Park better than we found it—one piece of trash at a time!

Pack 52 had an incredible graduation celebration this year! 🎉

We’re proud to share that 98% of our Scouts earned their rank—an amazing accomplishment that reflects the dedication of our Scouts and the support behind them. A huge thank you to our Cubmaster, den leaders, den chiefs, and parents who make this program so meaningful and successful.

One of the highlights of the night was welcoming our honorary “Dragons” into the pack as new Lions 🐉—these are the younger siblings who’ve been right there at every event, cheering on their brothers and sisters. We’re excited to officially have them join the adventure as they head into kindergarten!

Congratulations to all of our Scouts and families. We’re looking forward to a fun-filled summer of activities ahead! ☀️

🚗💨 Pack 52 Pinewood Derby!** 🏁

What an exciting day for Pack 52 at our Pinewood Derby! The Cubs showed off their creativity, craftsmanship, and racing spirit with some amazing car designs. From sleek speedsters to colorful creations, every scout put in great effort building their cars and cheering on their friends. We even had some Outlaws join in on the fun!

The races were fast, the competition was friendly, and the smiles were huge! Events like this remind us that Scouting is all about learning new skills, supporting each other, and having fun along the way.

A big thank you to all the leaders, volunteers, and families who helped make the afternoon a success—and congratulations to all our racers! 🏆 Cheat Lake VFD

Last Tuesday our pack worked on the **Cubs Who Care** adventure — and it was a powerful night of learning and empathy 💙

The Scouts learned about different types of disabilities and how we can be kind, patient, and helpful to others. They rotated through **four hands-on stations** where they experienced challenges people may face every day:
👂 Wearing headphones to understand hearing loss
👀 Using eye masks to explore visual impairment
🧤 Completing tasks with gloves to simulate limited hand movement
♿ Talking about mobility and accessibility barriers

The goal of this adventure is to help Scouts understand some of the challenges people with disabilities face and recognize how capable they are, while learning ways we can help and include everyone.

Our Cubs asked thoughtful questions, encouraged each other, and showed great teamwork. We’re proud of how seriously they took the lesson — kindness and inclusion are what Scouting is all about!

💪🏽🔥 Our scouts had a great time learning about the importance of exercise with Brittany from Burn Boot Camp Morgantown! She taught them how staying active keeps our bodies strong and healthy, and even led them through some fun movements. Thank you, Brittany, for sharing your time and energy with our scouts—we loved it! 👏⚜️

🇺🇸 Pack 52 Honors Our Nation’s Flag 🇺🇸

This week, Cub Scout Pack 52 held a respectful flag retirement ceremony to honor our nation’s symbol. The Scouts learned the importance of caring for our flag and ensuring it is retired with dignity when it becomes worn or damaged.

While the U.S. Flag Code does not assign this duty to any one group, many organizations—including the American Legion, Veterans of Foreign Wars (VFW), and the Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts—carry out this meaningful tradition. Pack 52 was proud to take part in this act of respect and gratitude.

Thank you to everyone who donated flags for retirement and joined us in honoring the values our flag represents. 🇺🇸
